Amnesty International (AI)
We are people from across the world standing up for humanity and human rights. Our purpose is to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. We investigate and expose abuses, educate and mobilize the public, and help transform societies to create a safer, more just world. We received the Nobel Peace Prize for our life-saving work. With more than 2.2 million supporters, activists and volunteers in over 150 countries, and complete independence from government, corporate or national interests, we work to protect human rights worldwide.
Physicians for Human Rights (PHR)

We believe health professionals, scientists, and concerned citizens can use our specialized skills, ethical duties, and credible voices to ensure the respect of human rights around the world. We investigate the health consequences of human rights violations and work to stop them. We mobilize health professionals to advance health, dignity, and justice and promote the right to health for all. In 1986 we founded PHR as an independent, non-profit organization that has documented health rights violations around the world for more than 20 years. In 1997 we were co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
